Foresters Kick Off The Busy Weekend With A "W"

The Lexington Snipes came into Rockford looking for a win but were disappointed. The Snipes were the first to strike early in the game but the Foresters rallied winning the battles in each facet of the game. The Foresters scored four runs on seven hits as compared to the three runs on five hits by the Snipes. Errors are what hurt the Snipes in the long run, one coming on an Austin Licon (DH) lead off from second when the Lexington catcher threw over the head of the short stop into center field; advancing the runner third. Tonight's win increased the Forester's record to 8-4 overall.

The Foresters take on Lexington again Friday at 7:05. Friday night is "Dog Day" at Marinelli Field, so feel free to bring man's best friend out to the park and enjoy a night of Foresters baseball!
